Ryan was our agent for the purchase of our house in Hollywood Hills. He spent many hours shepherding us around various properties until we fount THE house that we fell in love with. It was however a complicated transaction. It was a probate sale that required court approval. Ryan did a great job in guiding us through the transaction at every step of the way to a successful purchase. That was 10 years ago and we are still in the house and as happy as when we first moved in. I was a first time home buyer and really didn’t even know where to begin when shopping for house or condominium. Ryan Fitzgerald very patiently guided me throughout the entire process. He showed me a wide variety of properties, many before they even went on the market. One of the places he showed me was a very large condominium in an amazing neighborhood. I was not afraid to put some work into a place and he really helped me see what this condominium could be. This was 10 years ago and I have loved and still love my home. Other properties in my small building had sold with numerous offers on the table. I could not have asked for more in a real estate agent, he had my best interest at heart, he gave me great advice, got a great price, I have an amazing home and investment. To top it off, he has a great sense of humor and made the whole process entertaining.

I have known Ryan Fitzgerald since 1993. Ryan was not only the “best looking” Real Estate agent I had ever met, but one of the most professional! Ryan helped me sell my first,second, and third home which was one of my favorite homes. He took a special interest in knowing what I “truly” wanted AND needed at a price to fit my lifestyle.

I can vouch for his honesty and integrity 20 years later. He’s a man of his word and cares deeply about the community he lives in that in itself is something few can boast about. Anyone lucky to work with him will experience what I have and be the better for it.

In the spring on 2009 we decided to upgrade our living situation by selling our Manhattan studio and purchase a two bedroom apartment. Having seen a great deal of mediocrity among real estate agents, we were eager to find the “right” agent for our needs. Since there were two sides to our transaction -a buy and a sell- it was essential to use an agent who was on top of his game and intelligent.

I knew from my previous experience with real estate transactions that there is “more to a smooth deal than meets the eye” and there would inevitably be challenges along the way. Further, the apartment we were buying represented a large portion of our net worth, so personally speaking the stakes were high. My chosen agent, I determined, would be able to really listen to us and consistently react with our interests in mind. Ryan Fitzgerald could not have fit the bill more exactly.

Through each step of the process, Ryan always did a little extra to put our concerns at rest and ensure both deals were always moving forward.  When he showed us the two-bedroom for the first time, I “fell in love” and my childlike reaction was to offer the full asking price. Ryan stepped forward and after feeling out the seller’s broker and with his body of experience behind him- talked me into taking a cooler/more rational approach. He suggested making an offer below that of the asking price. Simply put, the offer was accepted.

Later on, the appraisal would further validate Ryan’s sound judgement. Ryan saved us a serious chunk of money which easily exceeded his commission. If Ryan had done nothing else, he would have paid for himself in that moment. Regarding the sale of our studio, we fairly quickly found a buyer who agreed to pay just under the asking price. Although we accepted the offer, I was confused when Ryan did not let up: Ryan continued to host open houses and show the apartment. When I asked Ryan why he was continuing to work so hard, he explained that you never know what can happen and that it was important to have back-up offers. I honestly thought this was unnecessary and thought Ryan could have taken it easy at that point.

Once again events proved to validate Ryan’s judgment. Our initial buyer backed out of the deal when she learned about a strict no pet rule in the building. I must admit that I panicked a bit because I was already in contract on my purchase! Ryan assured me that he had back-up offers… which was especially remarkable because this was all occurring in a down market! He said “Give me twenty minutes and I’ll call you back”. Sure enough, within a few minutes Ryan confirmed that we had a legitimate back-up offer- at the full asking price!- and that he had already instructed my attorney to send out the new contract. It was at that moment that I knew how valuable Ryan’s services were. In short, through each step of the buy/sell maze, we could count on Ryan to do more than was necessary, even when it was not clear to me why.

Due to his foresight and his relentless attention to detail, I will use Ryan for all my future real estate transactions. Without any hesitation whatsoever, I recommended Ryan Fitzgerald wholeheartedly.

Ryan is so amazing, in so many ways. Last year when we needed to rent our Condo in Hancock Park he really saved the day. For a couple of months we tried to lease the condo ourselves to avoid what we thought would be expensive agent fees. We placed ads everywhere, put up signs, answered hundreds of calls, set up showings, got stood up, gave out applications, ran credit, etc, all of this until we were blue in the face. When I finally caved and called Ryan he made arrangements to meet me the next day to signs the doc’s, get the keys and I didn’t do anything else. He had great pictures of our condo on the MLS and information out to all his agent friends within hours. Low and behold, in two 1/2 weeks I had a QUALITY renter and I didn’t have to do anything. He’s a ROCK STAR!!! More importantly, it turns out that I lost a lot more money in the 2 months that the condo sat empty, while I was trying to do it myself, than I paid in commissions, a lot more, AND I had all headaches. I certainly learned my lesson. I would recommend Ryan to anybody. He’s friendly, he’s professional, he’s courteous, he’s honest, he follows through… and like I said, he truly is a ROCK STAR! Ryan was the most incredible resource for our family in our cross country move from New York to Los Angeles in January 2012. We came out to LA in October of 2011 to take a look at houses and to make a final decision about moving to LA.

We gave Ryan some very basic “wants” but were not very specific about what we wanted because we were not sure ourselves. We scheduled an afternoon to tour homes with Ryan and had no idea what we’d see. As soon as we got in the car, we realized that Ryan took what little info we’d given him and found us a lot of great options. Ryan had the whole afternoon planned out.
