The Hollywood Dell Until the 101 Freeway was constructed, the Hollywood Dell was considered part of the original historic Whitley Heights neighborhood. Located between the 101 Freeway and Beachwood Canyon, the Hollywood Dell is named because it sits in a small valley instead of on top of a hill like other Hollywood neighborhoods. The roads within the dell are mainly hilly and many of the Spanish Colonial Revival and Moorish-style homes are built on smaller hillside lots.

Boundaries: East of Cahuenga, north of Franklin Avenue, west of Argyle and south of the Hollywood Reservoir
